FAQ's
Q: Is the Museum air conditioned or heated?
A: The Museum is slightly air conditioned and heated. The warehouse of the Museum is difficult to keep warm or keep cool. Please be aware when visiting in the cold months, bring a jacket. During the summer staff do their best to let cool air in and have fans running throughout. Unfortunate on severely heated days, the air conditioning does not suffice and a heat warning is in place. Water fountains are located in the lobby and other refreshments are available for purchase.
Q: Can I bring a lunch and eat in the Museum?
A: Yes! We encourage you to spend your lunch with us. There is always tables and chairs in our kid's zone. You may also enjoy your lunch in the courtyard on the grass (weather permitted). Keep in mind there are no tables and chairs outside but you may bring blankets.
Q: Is the Museum closed on Major Holidays?
A: Yes, any federal or major Holidays, the Museum will be closed. Keep in mind many Federal Holidays are on Mondays and the museum will never be closed on a Sunday to recognize that holiday.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Yes, we love fur babies and encourage you stop by with your pups. We ask that you bring doggie bags, water dishes, and toys. All dogs must be potty trained and no accidents are allowed in the Museum, otherwise you will be subject to cleaning the accident. All dogs MUST be on a leash and well trained as we have children in the Museum and kid's zone.
